MoM Service Design
During my time studying abroad in Singapore, I had the fantastic opportunity of taking a service design course. During the semester, our main project was to redesign the customer experience at the Services Centre for Singapore’s Ministry of Manpower (MoM) at 1500 Bendeemer Road. This was also later submitted for a competition.
After many trips interviewing the Services Centre customers and prototyping various ideas, we decided to introduce new touch points that provide efficient and targeted service, as well as clear direction to enable self-help. Our final concept consisted of a redesigned layout for the Services Centre’s gallery space, redesigned brochures, and an electronic check-in kiosk to help customers navigate without needing assistance from MoM employees.

We tested the concept with visitors by creating a mock kiosk interface and having them try it on an iPad. We also created a video to explain the concept.
This design won 2nd place*
